The other morning I was drinking my morning coffee, and this poor little bird flew right into the window!
L'altra mattina, un uccellino volò nella finestra !
The bird was stunned.
I went on the deck and picked the poor thing up.
L' uccellino in mano...
I held it for about 5 minutes, then it started to move and get restless, so I put it down.
Dopo 5 minuti gli ho messo giu'...
Then after another 5 minutes it flew away.
Allora, dopo 5 minuti volo' via.
Povero piccolo, era stordito...
ReplyDelete... ma nella tua mano ha ritrovato il calore e la forza per riprendere a volare!
Sei bravissima, Lorraine !
E io sono orgogliosa di essere tua amica!
Un abbraccio!
Good Morning Lorraine;
ReplyDeleteOh, what a cute birdie♡♡♡ How lucky that she/he got back from concussion. Your warm hand must have helped(*^_^*)
Sending you Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*
HI Lorraine! Oh, poor little birdie. It's sad they do this sometimes. Sometimes they're not as fortunate as this little guy was. How marvelous you got to hold him too. Thanks for popping in to see me and no I didn't know you worked in the vision center at Walmart. You've probably seen those little Willaminas! ;)
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia;)

ReplyDeleteCiao!Come stai? Sono contenta di sentirti! Bellissimo e dolcissimo! Un bacione a presto
ReplyDeleteYou did a good deed hope it comes back to you tenfold. I have a stained glass red bird that hangs in my kitchen window. Birds are always coming to the window trying to entice it out. I like your header with the Victoria ladies talking. I have a dress like they are wearing that I wear when our group gives tours of Sharon Wood Heritage Village.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog

That waqs so sweet of you! I've had that happen too, that a Little birdie enters from my window and I have to chase him to send him home! Thank you for your sweet and kind visit my friend.
ReplyDeleteHugs,

Crikey Lorraine ... So glad that beautiful little bird's ok. That was so nice of you to hold him until he felt better. My Mum LOVES birds. That was such a pretty little bloke. I hope he didn't have too bad a headache.
ReplyDeleteHappy St. Patrick's Day.

Dearest Lorraine,
ReplyDeleteSo glad it regained consciousness and flew off! Lucky birdie.
Did Sophie already get her good grooming after winter or is it still too cold...?
Missed lots of blogs as we had issues with our server. We quit AT&T as our area is way overloaded and that caused 1,000 disconnections for last month. How often I've lost a comment that I was about to 'publish' and it poofed as I got disconnected. That wears you out and also for writing a blog or uploading photos. Mama mia!
We now have DishNet via satelite and that is steady. Can't believe my luck yet that I don't have to copy everything I'm about to publish. It just works and is reliable. Had to change a lot of email logins for so many things. What a punishment. On top of that, this afternoon we had a power outage of about 4 hours... that screwed up my entire planning.
Well, it's Sunday tomorrow and we look forward to a brandnew week with hopefully again lovely spring weather so the tileman can finally lay the tiles on the concrete that's around the house as a water project to keep gutter overflow and heaven waters away from our home. It worked during that bad tornado as we had no issues with our basemen.
So many things to be grateful for and compared to those poor leprosy affected people for whom I did put that video together right after my emotional return from The Netherlands, we are all so fortunate and blessed.
Yes, emotional as I don't know if I ever see my Parents again... it is too expensive for going there and it is also quite emotional. Living off just one pension, together with Pieter's ex, does not allow us to go often. We did already 64 times and I wonder how we ever managed that. But it gave us peace of mind; we did what we could and now we ought to have some quality time for ourselves with little traveling in the USA.
Big hugs,
Mariette
Hi Lorraine! Hope you're doing well and I'm always happy to see a comment from you. Do you still have snow? My daughter who lives in Niskayuna does. I want tell you how warm it is here! :)

Hi Lorraine ~ Thanks for stopping by my blog. Do you think Spring will ever pop. I cannot wait to see some Spring Flowers. The winter has been so bad in Cincinnati that even some of my grass has died.

We're so happy the little bird recovered. Usually if SHE tries to nurture a birdie, it's the kiss of death.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by our blog, we love to meet new bloggers.
