Aromatherapy and Essential Oils / Olio Essenziale

Well... my latest interest is Aromatherapy and I am even thinking of making my own perfumes and oil blends!

Lavender

I grow lavender plants in my garden.  The smell of lavender really does make me feel better.

Ho coltivare piante di lavanda nel mio giardino.  L'odore in realta' mi fa sentire meglio.

Vanilla

Vanilla mixes beautifully with everything !

L'odore di vaniglia e' bella con tutto !

Bergamot  / Bergamotto

The peel of the bergamot orange is used to make the essential oil.

I read that about 1/2 of all women's perfumes contain bergamot essential oil.

Ho letto che circa 1/2 di profumi per le donne contengono olio essenziale di bergamotto.

La migliore beramotto e' da Calabria.

I saw this essential oil burner for sale on line, but it is very expensive !

I am going to try to find another beautiful one that is not so expensive. 

Ho visto questo bruciatore a olio essenziale di vendita online, ma è molto caro!

Io spero di cercare di trovare un altro bello che non è così tanto.

To make your own perfumes you mix the essential oils with alcohol (vodka) or jojoba oil.

When we were in Florida I bought some Orange Blossom perfume... it smells beautiful.

Quando eravamo in Florida, ho comprato profumo di Fiori d'Arancio , l'odore è così buono.

A long time ago, when I lived in Florida, I drove through an orange grove while the trees were in bloom.  

It smells so beautiful, like the smell of heaven.

A Brave, Wonderful, Beautiful Dog !!

This weekend at the Mall where I work, I met the most wonderful dog!!!

Her name is Dutchess and she is a Therapy Dog who visits patients at the local hospital and a Center for Students with Autism.

Lo scorso weekend al "mall" dove io lavoro, ho incontrato il cane più meravigliosa!

La sua nome è Dutchess e lei è un cane da terapia, "Thereapy Dog,"  che visita i pazienti presso l'ospedale locale e un centro per studenti con autismo.

But, the most heart-tugging thing about Dutchess is that due to a disease that affects some Golden Retrievers, she had to have surgery that removed her eyes !

Ma, la cosa di Dutchess che ha toccato il mio cuore il più e' a causa di una malattia che colpisce alcuni "Golden Retriever", lei ha avuto un intervento chirurgico per rimuovere gli occhi!


 ( NOTA:  Io ho problemi scrivendo questo in italiano .... )

I met Dutchess and her owner Mark at the Mall.  He said a week after the surgery Dutchess was outside chasing tennis balls !!!



Ho incontrato Dutchess e il suo padrone, Mark,  a la "mall."  
Mark ha detto che  una settimana dopo il chirurgico Dutchess era fuori a caccia di palline da tennis!

A Great Visit ! 

The visit from my cousin from Rome was really wonderful.  It was great to get to know each other and compare family memories.

La visita di mio cugino da Roma e' stato davvero meraviglioso.  E' stato bello a conoscersi e confrontare i ricordi di famiglia.

It greatly pains me to post this photo of me because I have become soooooo fat!

By the way, I started a new diet Tuesday, "The 17 Day Diet."

I want to lose 20 pounds !!!!!!!

Con molto dolore io mostrato questa  foto di me perché sono diventato tanta  grassa!

Ho iniziato un nuovo "diet"  Martedì, "Le 17 Dieta Day".

Max the "Barker" / Troppo Abbaia

Being a Poodle, Max is very protective of me and barks at every sound and everything that passes our house.

Perche e' un "Poodle", Max e' molto protettivo e abbaia a tutto.

We live in a "townhouse community" and the house are very close together.

Dove noi abitare le case sono molto vicino.

Well, I have one neighbor who complains about Max barking.  I try to control Max, but he still barks.
